This center will focus on the major ethnic groups that make up our nation’s “melting pot” - the global culture known as America.  It will also pay special homage to the Lakota culture, the indigenous tribes who live in the surrounding lands of South Dakota and tell of the documented cultural genocide waged against them. 

It will include a planetarium which will celebrate and explore the ever culturally important Lakota star knowledge, passed down through countless generations.  Other major American groups highlighted will be Hispanics, Europeans, Africans, Middle Easterners and Asians. Each group will have their unique American histories told, both the triumphs and the tragedies, highlighted in a fully immersive experience to the visitor.
